And there’s me thinking that the garden birds are really hungry. All those nuts are being eaten… but now I know who’s been munching away!!!

Looks like a mini shortened VW Camper Van (parked at Tescos, Marks Farm, Braintree).

Here’s our hedgehog eating some lovely meal worms. We often hear these little creatures in our front garden, sometimes three at a time. How amazing!

We are truly blessed to have so many native animals come in and visit our little garden.

“Why don’t you fly away. You are too tame and could easily be eaten by our cats!”

I actually had to pick this little birdie up and put the little mite on top of a branch so that it was out of harms way.

It was a very warm bird and amazingly calm!

These wild birds couldn’t wait to eat their peanuts as within seconds of me hooking this on the branch they were there…

…in fact they jumped on as I was locking into position.

They must have been hungry even though we are in mid summer.

So they are all down the vets having their jabs!

A certain person ordered a large pizza and then came over all sick and left her pizza!

Don’t you just remember the times as a child you used to make tents or dens in the garden?

I guess this is a more up to date version using our damn brollys!!!

That “Bird of Prey” noise during the night believe it or not is a Tawny Owl.

Glad we got to the bottom of that one although I though Owls went “Twit-to-woo” not “ooooh Wit”

Every night I hear that sound, all because we have the window open to let the cool air in.

What beautiful creatures. I often see one like this perched on top of out street light out side.

I hope the cat will be okay tonight!

As a fitting tribute to a lovely Nanny we decided to buy these flowers. She loves these and we saw these yesterday at the Thames Barrier Park

We are told that bumble bees make a BEE line to these plants. Just the sort of thing Laura would stay away from.

Here’s hoping they stay alive during this hot part of July.

If I know Nanny Bundy she’ll grind these up and make them into herbs for cold remedies (bless).

Libby and Ollie love digging holes and it drives us crazy. Our lovely lawn and flower beds get a constant battering from these little diggers.

What a mess they make of themselves as well as the garden.

We thought it was just so they can escape but now realise that they dig trenches and then lie in them to stay cool from our UK heat wave.

In fear that she had just seen a hornet!

I must admit I saw the insect fly over my head but it was a lot bigger than any wasp or hornet I have ever seen. Besides it’s tail (cerci) had what looked like a two pronged fork at the end… any ideas what this could have been?

We have looked over Google but found no images that matched this massive insect. Was it dangerous? Hell we never stayed around long enough to find out!!!!

As a last minute decision we took a quick look around this hidden beauty. This is not a million miles away from London City Airport.

Somewhere that can easily be missed whilst driving from Beckton to the Isle of Dogs.

Laura and I have been here before and have spoken about this place to Nanna Bundy (Mum).

I thought that instead of describing it why not go there.

It was a shame that we only had an hour to spare and maybe Nanna Bundy will go with Auntie Clair (Lil’ Sis) soon.

…see this beautiful Woodpecker on the bird feeders. Now this is a rare sight for us.

It’s been quite a nail biting situation waiting for the mummy bird to come home after every feed run. So I have left some meal worm in a bowl for her.

Amazingly the mummy bird has taken well to this and she now never leaves her post <bless>.

Nanny Bundy’s new kitten

There is nothing obvious from the outside and can only assume it is suffering with an internal parasite. All the other fish look fine.

I would consider an autopsy but family members think I would be nuts to do so!

Every time we go to Wyevales garden centre we are greeted by this tame cockerel.

Sitting pretty on the window shelf in the office.

Because someone decided not to move their car this dust cart was left over night in the ditch. That also meant that we couldn’t get our Green Bin emptied because of this person’s stubborn attitude not to move!
